At Masfiv we had a huge challenge: to build a new assisted reproduction center from scratch. Although it has been a very responsible task, we have been fortunate to create the unit of our dreams. A facility that we are thrilled you will be able to enjoy.

Of all the decisions we have made, one of the ones we have been most satisfied with has been to incorporate a Defend 1050 unit from Novaerus. This equipment uses ultra-low energy plasma technology, combined with a three-stage filter, which quickly disinfects and purifies the air in environments that are free of viruses, bacteria, fungi and other harmful particles (including coronavirus).

Masfiv’s laboratories are equipped with HEPA filters and other features that make the environment of optimum quality. With the Defend 1050, we provide additional filtering, which ensures that the work in the laboratory can be carried out in perfect conditions. In fact, this technology has allowed us to reduce the time it takes to clear the laboratory by several weeks.

In addition to disinfecting and purifying the environment, the filters absorb odors, neutralize volatile organic compounds and trap particles as small as 0.3 micrometers. Ensuring odor-free and volatile-free environments allows assisted reproduction techniques to be more effective.

Another feature of the equipment is its portability. It can be moved around laboratories, operating rooms, rooms, even consulting rooms and waiting areas. Its cleaning capacity is enormous and it is capable of performing 4 air changes per hour in 92 m². Therefore, we are able to regenerate and disinfect the air of our entire medical center 16 times a day, which makes Masfiv the medical center with the lowest possibility of acquiring any type of virus or bacteria.

In the current health alert scenario, aerosoltransmissionwas added to the diagnosis and treatment plan issued by the National Health Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a possible route of coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This suggests that the virus is not only transmitted through airborne respiratory droplets, but also through aerosols that can remain suspended in the air for long periods and can be inhaled. And this is where Novaerus Defend 1050 is tremendously effective.
